On the day of this maternity session, a significant portion of the freeway ended up being closed, and crazy traffic forced us to change locations at the last minute. Despite the chaos, this session turned out very calm and thoughtful, even serene. This is my first dedicated maternity session (usually I do maternity in the midst of a family session), and I've decided I like working with the expectant mother alone. Sometimes, it's not possible, but there's a different energy and emotional quality that develops when a mother has the chance to get away for a minute by herself.
